Yoga Sutra Chapter 1 – Health & Healing
This course presents Patañjali’s Yoga Sutra Chapter 1 as offering a comprehensive system for health and healing. While the text comes from a very different context, it continues to be relevant today as a system of self-care and liberation. The basic premise of the Yoga Sūtra suggests that we can use our mind as a tool for healing. Patañjali promises that it is possible to heal even the deepest and most unconscious levels of our psyche. In this course, we will explore Chapter 1 of the Yoga Sūtra using the work of T. Krishnamacharya & T.K.V Desikachar as a foundation for the teachings.
This 20-hour (10hr Video & 10hr assignment) self-paced Video course can be taken by individuals for Continuing Education Units (CEU’s), complete with a CEU certificate (upon request) from Healing Yoga Institute.
