Amy has been serving as a faculty member at the Yoga Therapy Rx Program at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in Marina Del Rey, California since 2008. This program is specific to teaching yoga instructors how to become Yoga Therapists. The LMU Yoga Therapy Program offers one of the first Masters Degree in Yoga Studies in the country to be sponsored by an accredited university. This Masters Program began in Sept., 2013. The Yoga Therapy Rx Program is a part of this degree program.
Some of the primary subjects that she presents on at LMU are: nervous system, endocrine system, digestive system and women’s health. Amy weaves together yoga philosophy, theory and applications in a way that is experiential and practical. She provides a rich learning environment that is accessible and confidence building. Yoga therapists and students can expect to take home many useful yoga tools and guidelines for their classes, private consultations and personal practices.
Amy has also begun teaching for the Masters Degree in Yoga Program starting August, 2015.
