Start your Yoga training with the Optimal State® 200 Therapeutic Foundations of Yoga Course. The goal of this training program is to bridge the Eastern Wisdom of Yoga and Western Medicine, allowing you to better understand yourself and to prepare you for a journey towards Yoga Therapy as a new profession or adjunct to the profession that you already love!

This program is designed to help you take your personal practice to the next level as a Yoga Teacher so you can share your love of yoga with others. In 200 Therapeutic Foundations of Yoga with Optimal State® you will find a community of like-minded seekers interested in nourishing themselves with the ancient wisdoms of Yoga.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

  • Total Hours: 200 hours
    • 180 Contact hours (in person with the lead trainer or guest trainer)
    • 20 Non-Contact hours (approved training outside the classroom)
  • Program Time: 4 months from September to December
  • Asynchronous Learning: The Optimal State Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Subtle Anatomy, Western Anatomy
  • Please Note: This course can prepare you for our 865-hour Optimal State Yoga Therapy Program

This program is designed for working professionals.  It takes place on Thursday evenings, Friday evenings and all day Saturday (excluding holidays) for a period of 4 months.

Daily Yoga Practice: In order to serve others, you must nourish yourself with a practice each day. You will record a short journal entry about your practice several times a week. You will work with your mentor, peer-mentors and intuition throughout the program to develop a practice that is right for you. It might include postures, breathing practices and/or meditations. We have customized Yoga journals available.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Students must be comfortable using a computer and with online learning

OPTIMAL STATE® 200 THERAPEUTIC FOUNDATIONS OF YOGA COURSE COST:

The total cost of the program is $2,900. There is a $50 application fee (non-refundable) and once accepted, a $369 deposit (applied to your tuition and non-refundable). The balance of $2,531 is to be paid before the class begins or through our payment program. You may make payments of $695.25/month over the course of the program for a total of $3,150 through our Payment Program. We will invoice you via PayPal. Please see our Payment Terms document for more information on our payment program.

Manuals are available to you online; however, you can purchase a hard copy of the set of manuals for the course for $150. The order must be placed at the time of your registration.

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS:

CE credits for licensed professionals are provided by the Spiritual Competency Resource Center (SCRC). SCRC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. SCRC maintains responsibility for the program and its content. Please ask us if you are interested in this option.

SCRC is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP 16887) for licensed nurses in California.

The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.

There will be an additional administrative fee of $50 to submit your CE’s to the SCRC.

You will receive up to 40 units of continuing education for this program. You must attend every hour of the program and sign-in and sign-out to obtain your CE units.
