This workshop is for anyone who is having trouble moving past childhood trauma and wants to start start the 2017 with a new perspective. Often times when we think of Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), we acknowledge very tangible events like coming home from war or being assaulted. These very difficult life events definitely need time and attention given to the healing process. And there are also people who grew up in a dysfunctional household that also have PTS. This makes it difficult to pinpoint what is actually causing the discomfort and unconscious behaviors. One might even be unaware that they are experiencing PTS.
The good news is that Yoga Philosophy has many thoughts on emotional imprint, of VASANA. The Patanjali, in the text called the Yoga Sutra, discusses how these deep emotional imprints unconsciously drive our behavior and actions. This text also has a solution for resolving the emotional imprints that no longer serve us. These thoughts have been used for thousands of years to heal not only heal mental and emotional wounds, but also to help us to see clearly and have less suffering in the future.
Please join us for this workshop. All levels are welcome. It will be a combination of lecture and practice. We look forward to seeing you there!
