Online (Web-Ex) with Amy, streaming live.  This event can be watched live and/or at a later time for up to 45 days following the event.  All participants will receive the video link to watch or review this course online.

Each month we will have a theme.  For example, the theme could be Samkhya Philosophy as it Applies to Yoga Therapy, or the Bird Model from the Upanisads as it Applies to Yoga Therapy.  We would like you to attend the entire month so that we do not have to review material from previous weeks.

 

October Theme:  Samkhya Philosophy as it Applies to Yoga Therapy- Part 1

Samkhya Philosophy is a sister school to Yoga and Ayurveda.  In fact, it is the basis of Yoga and Ayurveda.  Samkhya Philosophy describes the 5 elements that make up our human system and the world around us.  The 5 elements are space, air, fire, water and earth.  We will go back to the roots of Ayurveda and Yoga to see how they form the foundation for healing.  Lifestyle modifications, diet, yogic practices will be discussed in detail.  There are 2 parts to this series.  This is part 1 of 2.
